Because of problems with Covid our Burns Night was postponed till February. — The only time in the Society’s long history that our Burns Night has not been celebrated during the month of Robert Burns’ birth. It was however a most enjoyable occasion with Member Martin Axton rendering The Immortal Memory; President Iain Campbell gave the Toast to the Lassies and his wife Val Campbell gave the Reply. Caterers served some delicious Haggis, Neeps and Tatties and the evening concluded with some Social Dancing. It was good to see members of the Bournemouth Cornish Society at the event and a lot of other guests attended the function for the first time. — The 2023 Burns Night is already in the Diary so click on the Burns Page for full details.
